Shelbi + Richard {Atlanta, Georgia}

Where to begin? Shelbi and Richard are one of those couples I wish I could just sit down with and hear their stories for hours. These two adventurers met on a flight to South Africa (talk about a lengthy first date) and have since traveled to more places around the world together than most people get to see their whole lives. I had the BEST time capturing them at their historic home in Midtown Atlanta and exploring some of my favorite woods in the city. I cannot wait to shoot their wedding in September!

Sarah + Thomas {Brevard, NC}

About a month ago I moved from Atlanta to the beautiful mountain town of Brevard, North Carolina. Brevard's backyard happens to be Pisgah National Forest, where there is absolutely no shortage of incredible settings for taking photos. The time I got to spend with Sarah and Thomas around Looking Glass Falls and the Blue Ridge Parkway was an easy way to get to know these mountains - and the two of them - a little better. It's always fun hanging out with a couple who makes my job so easy (and gives top-notch podcast recommendations)! I'm already looking forward to photographing their wedding in May.

Daniels Wedding {Evergreen, Colorado}

"So, how do you know Niki and Jared?" was a question I heard several times the Sunday I was shooting this wedding, and the answer has a few layers. I grew up in Marietta, Georgia, where I became friends with Jared and his twin sister Erin (one of my most wonderful friends and college roommates). We remained friends throughout college, staying in touch, and all getting together over holidays when everyone was in town. Fast forward a bit, and Jared meets a beautiful girl named Niki, a native Coloradan, while working at a Young Life camp in Fraser, CO one summer. Fast forward even further, and I meet my boyfriend who grew up outside Boulder where he was dear friends with none other than Niki herself. Eventually I met Niki a little while before the two got engaged, when she was visiting Marietta, and everything came full circle. I am so thankful to have been able to document their absolutely joy-filled wedding day.
Highlights: Mr. Daniels officiating his son's wedding, Niki's incredible bouquet, two of Jared's talented groomsmen playing music in the ceremony, one of the best reception dance parties I've seen in a while.

Berteletti Wedding {Salida, Colorado}

Dan and Julia are, hands down, two of the most kindhearted and adventurous people I have ever had the pleasure of getting to know. Both avid runners, the two of them met on a January morning at a November Project workout in Denver. A year and a half's worth of trail runs, treks, and marathons later, Dan and Julia got engaged and began to plan their wedding in Salida, CO, at The Mountain Goat Lodge. The whole weekend reflected their love for one another, their family and friends, and the magnificent state they get to call home. Guests were encouraged to hit the trails on surrounding mountains (including nearby fourteeners), explore downtown Salida, and pitch tents on the lodge property to camp out.

Sunday morning the soon-to-be Bertelettis started their day the same way they did on that January morning in Denver: with a run. The rest of the day unfolded beautifully, as guests arrived, vows were made, and a band of dear friends and relatives danced the night away in celebration of Mr. and Mrs. Berteletti, the #lovegoats.

Ambos

If you have been following along for any amount of time, you may have noticed a couple previous blog posts about my work shooting for Ambos. Ambos is a business partnering with artisans in Guatemala to produce high quality, hand-crafted leather products, primarily boots, belts, and bags. Their summer line launches soon and I just may need to grab one of those totes before they're gone...

New Subjects & A Rebranding

Most of my subjects lately have been interiors, homes, and now with wedding season fast approaching, florals and lace. So when marketing extraordinaire Brooke Wright asked me to take a few photos for a general contractor's rebranding project, I jumped at the chance. Perhaps I'm slightly biased after working with such a fun crew, but I think it's safe to say these folks will soon be the most sought-after builders in the business.

Niki & Jared

Niki and Jared. What a dream team. Jared is a dear friend and just happens to be the twin brother of one of my best friends/college roommates. He met the lovely Niki when they were both working at a camp ("Young Life, find a wife," so they say...) in Colorado, her home state. These two know how to make anyone feel welcome and cared for, which made the morning I got to spend with them an absolute pleasure. I am SO excited to be in Evergreen, CO for their August wedding, but am even more excited for their marriage and the kind of life they are starting together - one that is full of life and joy, and focused on what's true and good. Like I said, dream team.
